Female Panther $4900 or $9500 for the Pair

A bronze casting of the maquette for a monumental sculpture of a female panther. The artist has offered a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the maquettes and/or monumental sculptures to the Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge. Maquette edition 25.

Male Panther $4900 or $9500 for the Pair

A bronze casting of the maquette (study model) for a monumental sculpture of a male panther. The artist has offered a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the maquettes and/or monumental sculptures to the Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge. Maquette edition 25.

Maquettes (study models)

These images are of maquettes for larger-than-life sculptures of a male and female panther. The female panther, in a stalking posture, is approximately 30 inches long by 13.5 inches high on its walnut base. The male panther, in a crouching defensive posture, is approximately 30 inches long by 12.5 inches high on its walnut base. The edition size in each case is 25 castings. The artist has offered a portion of the proceeds from their sale to the Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge.

Monumental Panthers

The first casting of the monumental bronze panther pair flanks the administration building at the University of Houston. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of a second casting will be donated by the artist to the Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge. The large bronzes are 13 feet from nose to tip of tail. 

R.T. Wallen, an Alaska artist who now spends part of the year in Florida, has used his work to aid international humanitarian and wildlife conservation efforts throughout his career.
